How do I do 2+ players on Halo 3 Local Network?

I want to play my friends in Halo 3 and we did Local Network. The problem was that I loaded the second controller but for some reason it only showed 1 player/person playing. How do I do 2 player on Halo 3?

this is something i hate about wireless controllers, they sometimes don't work even when you turn them on... in this case, try restarting your console, turn off and on the controller, or press the little button in between the power button and the memory card slot. hope this helps

Press A on the second controller while in the lobby to sign in the other player

Plug the controller in.
