Alriht first you need to download Halo Custom Edition also known as Halo CE. This is a free form of Halo which allows you to add custom maps and mods easily and quickly.
If you don't want to do that though you can either mod your own maps or use a Patch adder which will let you download a specific mod and then use the program to add the selected mod to the map you have. I foget the name of the program but it's pretty easy to find online.

Both are free and pretty easy to use.
