How Do I Unlock My Halo 3 Rogue Helmet?

I know to get the achievement and the helmet, you must become a spartan officer. I am now a 74 Lieutenant and I have received neither. Is there anything I did wrong/ anything I need to do to get these things? Does it just need time, its been about 8 hours? All of my other achievements have opened within 10 seconds.

you have to spin the right analog stick for 48 hours straight, delete your gamer profile, make a new one called "halo 3" and you will have all the unlocks.
