how do u get the headphones to work xbox 360 live(halo 3)?

i play halo 3 online and i would like to know how to hear other people talking

you probaly cant hear the other players because the icon on your mic plug is not put to the pic of the mic with waves coming out of it or it could be that your headphones are broken to test that out get someone in forge and speak into the mic if they cant hear you then your mic is broken and you will have to replace it.

Wired: Plug Head phone in

5 or less people just talk

6 or more press any button on d-pad.

Wireless: Sync up headset

Make sure the volume is up too.
