How do we know which mission we completed in Halo 3?

I play with my friends on co-op on legendary (different stages not in order)

So how do I know which stags I beated in Legendary just to make sure I dont do it twice?

Usually it just starts off on the last save point (last mission) when you quit, that's the only way i know of =S

P.S. you've never "Beated" anything >.>

Most of the time they will have a video and at the end of the video they will have a caption that will be the tittle of the level you are about to play. It will be located at the bottom of the screen.
