how do you callibrate lag for halo 3?

i just got a pretty expensive lcd hd tv and when i play halo 3 on it everything is a little delayed. i was wondering if there was a way to callibrate the lag like the way you can do it in guitar hero?

if youre playing online, its your internet connection. if its not, then no. either way you cant change it. online you should just stop playing and try again later. its almost impossible to win if the lag is bad.
