How do you do that one zombie game in Halo 3?

I dont understand how to play this game or how to start it. Ive only played it once but that was because i was invited into it.
Is like a different mode like GrifBall or something. If any of you have played Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne- there is a place for custom games is like that??
so then you have have to download this mode or what?
