how do ypu get recon on halo 3?

YOU CANT GET RECON UNLESS BUNGIE GIVES IT TO YOU OR when Halo 3 ODST is released if you get all of the vidmaster achievements you will unlock it

the only way you can get it is by modding having Bunnie give it to you for a funny video or great map or being awsome on the community or doing something special in matchmaking or you get all the vid master achievements and unlock it when Halo 3:ODST comes out

You can't get it unless it's given to you by Bungie.
Wait until the Fall when they release the new Halo game and you can unlock achievements to get it then.
