How is Skill Level determined in Halo 3?

I understand how EXP points are calculated, but I don't understand the skill level. Can you raise your skill level by playing social slayer? And does anyone have any hints on raising a skill level. I've been stuck at level 7 for weeks. Ya, I know, I suck.

well you have to be in a ranked playlist, and if you are on lone wolves, you must be in the first two-thirds of the score board (points)at the end of the game. if ur on a team game, even if you score 0 but your team still wins, you still earn exp and skill.

Well each different game type has a different skill number connected.

Playing any unranked games, or social games, like social slayer or rumble pit won't bring up your numbered ranking.

To do this you must play the certain game type (ranked) with the number ranking. You will notice by seeing a number on the side on certain game types.

You mostly rank up by how well you and your team does, but also on how you individually do.

THe easiest way to rank up is by playing Lone Wolves if you are not a very steady player or you are good playing alone.

Team slayer will help you rank up quick, just get some friends and almost every game you win you will go up a number. Once you get around 20, it takes more games though.

no cant raise it from social.... trying playing team slayer that way u can leech off them and hopefully get better...
