How to earn experience in Halo 3?

Hey guys i have online for xboxlive i have been playin for ever but never earn experience or rank up. How come? please dont leave any dumb or nasty comment

the only way you get expierence is to play ranked or social matches. custom games dont count. but if you are playing lone wolfs you have to come in at least 3rd. if you play double xp you to come in the top 5. also you have to earn skill points in Ranked.

it took me a while to rank up now im a major grade 2 if u want to get ranked up fast play lone wolfs and be on the top of the list..add me my gamertag is resendizfam1
