How to get Halo 3 skulls?

What do i do when i find them? have to carry them the whole level?

the only thing u do is u pick them up. after that, u will c an achievement pop up on your screen. then you can do whatever u want with them. be careful though, there are silver skulls and gold skulls. the gold ones will give you an achievement while the silver ones don't but still collect the silver ones because if u collect all the skulls you get a new armor as well as the power the skull gives you like grunt birthday party.

just pick them up you afterward just drop them and complete the mission or you can use them to beat down some of the convent
