How to join a party in halo 3 matchmaking???

Hi, I'd like to know how to join a party in halo 3 matchmaking instead of me being the party leader, I know how to find someone in my friends list and join them I'd like to know how to join someones party without having to chose them from my friends list, thank you.

Joining parties:

- You can only join a party from you friend's list without an invite.
- The only way to join a party with someone not on your friend's list to have them send you an invite.

In other words its impossible to join a party with random people
