I can't do halo 3 matchmaking. ?

I just got xbox live gold yesterday. i' ve had it before. anyway. I go into halo 3, and can't do matchmaking. i get a blinking message that says Information could not be retrieved form halo 3 servers. I also cant go into file shares. I can play custom games perfectly. but nott matchmaking. I have had this problem ever since i got halo 3 a year ago.

First of all, you need a laptop with a wireless connection and a connection key. You will also need a xbox 360 wireless connection. You also need a wireless connection code.

You most likely need to download the new maps first.
