I can't play most matches on halo 3?

While playing live a lot of the settings(like team slayer and things like that) i cant play because it says i dont have the maps. Do i have to buy them?

The only playlists you can play without purchasing any maps are: Lone Wolves, Squad Battle, and Social Slayer. In order to play Lone Wolves and Squad Battle, you need to download the Heroic Map Pack, which is free. The rest (Legendary and Mythic) you need to buy off of xBox Live for $10 each (1600 Microsoft Points). Once you have all of the map packs, you can play all of the playlists.
