I need help with the halo 3 mlg playlist?

Well right now I am a level 25 in MLG and can't seem to get much higher. I always end up winning a game then losing one right after that. In all im a major grade 3. The weird thing is that when i play 1v1's i always beat colonels, brigadiers, and even generals.

What can i do to help me get a higher rank in Halo 3 MLG playlist?
