i was playing halo 3 and i cant beet cortana on heroic?

i want eva but am stuck at this 1 point in the lev ive got energy sword and plasma rifle but the check point as me coverd with flood forms and stuff and and when i spawn i get eaten and my shields r down and mowed down i used the deploy cover and they crawled around and advice?

Restart the mission. Use Brute shot, it kills a flood in one hit. I did not have any trouble playing the game on legendary.

i beat it on legendary using the shotgun and dual weilding plasma rifles but restart the mission so you won't get whacked again
