account, is birthdate required? I am 15, but I would like to be able to play M rated games for xbox 360. When I set up an xbox live account, will I have to enter my birthdate? If my birthdate is correct, and is below 17, will it block me from playing these games? Should I just enter an incorrect birthdate?

You can enter your real birthdate. The reason why they want to know about your birthdate(if you are making a xbox live account) is if youare too young, they just want your parents to verify that you are allowexd to play video games. After your parents simply type in their password and email account, you sshould be able to play any game you want. Actually, if you're 15, then Microsoft won't ask for your parents identification.

just put your year of birth as 1988 or lower and you should be fine. but if you do put your age and it doen't let you play it just change the family settings so that you can play M rated games.
