In halo 3, how do I get the achievement were in for some chop?

I know I have to destroy an enemy vehicle with equipment in a ranked play list or in campaign, but I could never do it. Tell me what level to go to to find it/where in the level/the difficulty it would be easiest on or just tell how you did it.
