In halo 3, how do you get your skill level up quickly?

In halo 3, how do you get your skill level up quickly. Im a leiutenant grade two and my highest skill level is 10, and i wanna become a captain.

play in lone wolves only. Since there is one winner and 4 losers, the losers gain more exp points the higher they place. Other wise on team matches its win-loose. Regarless of whatever you do it is going to take a while, so just play a lot.

My advice, don't care about levling up quickly, it's Halo and it's going to be around for a loooooooooong time. Just play, have fun, and Kill Everybody you see. Otherwise, I'm out of advice.
