IN HALO 3 how do you make your spartan look different?

like ive seen these profiles on xbox live and like their faces or masks or whatever and their color and armor looks different....how do u make that happen?

You have to unlock different armor, and to do this you unlock achievements by playing the campaign or by playing online. But to change what you look like:

-Load Halo 3 on your Xbox 360
-Once in the main menu, hit Start on the controller
-Hit Right on the D-pad, and it should come up with other options, one of them being Appearance
-From there, you can choose what colors you wear, armor, and your emblem. You can even choose what your guy sounds like when he dies! Ex: Male or Female
