in halo 3 no matter how many games of lone wolves i win i never rank up?

my highest skill at lone wolves was a 36, then i lost a few games and went down to 34 then up to 35, i keep getting 1st or 2nd place but never rank up, if i loose like 1 game i go down to 34 but if i win and go to 35 and keep winning i still never rank up, so how come i never rank up and is there a way to find out when i will rank up next? (pleese help because i am getting really FRUSTRATED!!!)

I am not sure if this may be your current issue, but your skill in Lone Wolves may be above your opponents, thus if you score a victory you still may not gain stature in the destined level. In fact, that is why many gamers on Halo 3 have exited the game. They win twenty games, they get no level, they lose one, they descend four levels. But just either keep playing and persevering or trying another Ranked playlist like Team Slayer or Team Doubles.
