In Halo 3: ODST, how do I beat the ONI Alpha Station level?

Playing as the rookie, I come to the ONI Alpha beacon, where there's a blown up bridge, but I can't figure out how to proceed past that point. Am I missing a clue?????????

after that mission head back press the select button see were the next beacon is the beacon is an elevator the actual elevator isnt there but a rope is hope HOPE THIS HELPED GOOD LUCK

no. turn on your VISR. at the foot of the bridge, thers a clue. it has a bright yellow outline and you should be able to inspect it
