Is Halo 3 Appropriate For a 14-Year Old?

My 14-year-old son wants to buy the video game Halo 3. I'm a little skeptical about it, seeing as he has never played a Halo game before. He does have one M rated game though, Assassin's creed for the XBox360, but that is it. What exactly is it rated M for, and is what it is rated M for severe?

Well if he is playing on online matches like matchmaking then some players will be jerks and make fun of him since he is younger. They will also say very many inappropriate things. But some of them are very nice. But there is 10 year olds that play Halo 3 and they are not scared or anything like that. You should buy it for him and watch him play it first so if you change your mind you can take it back. I know this because Halo 3 is my fav. game

I would say the blood and gore is way worse in assassins creed than halo.. Halo is mature mainly because you are shooting people, and because on xboxlive people dont tend to use the greatest language. theres no massive amounts of blood, just some.
