is halo 3 or call of duty 4 better playing with your friends without xbox live?

does call of duty 4 have split screen so you can play with your friends in your house without xbox live? same with halo 3?

you cant do split screen with COD4, just two people at a time, one of each tv and xbox. its lame but true. halo you can and its a blast.

Both are good. But if you system link, COD4 is a lot better choice because you can link up to 32 people
