Halo is a good game but I think gears of war is a much better game for story mode halo might be a little better online tho.

Better at what? I prefer Halo, for its perfect syngergy between the OST music and gameplay. I don't recall the music from GoW, it might've been quite generic.

gears of war is better. It is much more competitive, and has better gameplay overall. Gears of war 2 has much better multiplayer. The only problem is that it has some lag problems, but the developers already have announced a patch coming out this month that will fix that.
