Is Halo Wars the next game of the Halo Series?

Halo Wars IS the next edition to the Halo franchise, but it's a prequel to the Halo FPS games. It's supposed to take place 20 years before the events of Halo 1, 2 and 3.
And it's not the LAST Halo game to come out. ODST will be comming out sometime this year, and although it's not an entire game in itself, it adds to the storyline and experience of Halo.

well yes and no it was made before bungie broke off from microsoft so it might have been a new plan for a new series or not there is an expansion of 3 but after that no more halo games
