Let's say my halo 3 CD cant play certain campaign levels?

because of a scratch. if i download it to my xbox 360 hard drive, would i be able to play them?

Ask a friend to borrow they're halo disc and then download it to your hard drive. Then if you put your scratched cd in the xbox you will be able to play the hard drive version from the non-scratched disc by pressing Y and clicking on "play from hard drive"
