My Halo 3 edition xbox 360 has a red tint to it while playing games and demos.?

OK this only happens when i start to play a demo or a game disk but on the xbox dashboard it is fine. there are small red strips that run up and down my tv screen (it looks like my TV is tinted red if that helps). it is weird because if i press the middle x button on my controller the xbox quick dashboard pops up but it doesn't have the strips. but if you look in the background it shows the strips on the game but not the quick dashboard. i thought it was something to do with the xbox disc reader but the weird thing is that it does it with demos to. any advice on fixing this problem would be great. my xbox is one of the old halo 3 special edition xbox 360s just if you wanted to know. Please help they are really annoying it is like a red tint if that describes it any better.

my friend had a problem almost like that but he would get like a snowy affect while playing games but the dashboard was fine his av cables where shot and then a week later after getting new ones he got the ring of death i forget which ring it was but it is related to the disc drive and something coming loose inside of it

check your cords in the back of your television it may be your tv try it on another one if not sell it to me ill gladly buy it or trade you my xbox 360 it is in great condition so...
