My halo 3 rank wont go any higher?

My lone wolves rank is 33 and i have like 200 xp my 33 wont go any higher. how can i tell how many matches i must win to get it to go up? im really aggravated cus i won several matches in a row. 1 time i won about 5 in a row and didnt go up. pls help
