my mic shut off and then broke while i was playing halo 3?

so heres how it happened. I was playing hitchhikers with my friend and this one guy name Elite Suace joined. he made this one noise with his mic that was deep then high pitched and when he finished making it my mic turned off and i couldnt get it to work . my friend also got his mic broke but his started working again. what should i do? ive waited at least 2 days

Well one answer how it could've broke is:
1. there was a wire that broke somewhere inside
2.You talk alot so spit got in and shut it down (happend to a kid i know)

And a soulution is:
1.You can trade it in and ask the experts or whatever to fix it.
