Question about Halo 3: ODST?

Is Halo 3: ODST an expansion for Halo 3 or is it a different game for $60?

it's a different game, but it still features Forge and all the online modes

its a seperate game, it's Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, it has nothing to do with Master cheif and features NO elites, you may question if it is Halo, but it is. i may not have an xbox 360 but im addicted to the first halo on my computer so i pay attention to these things. This game takes place on earth between games 2 and 3 where you are the last shock trooper in attempt to obviously save humans, there are no marines (thank god, as my friend would say the only good marine is a gead marine)
