Question about Halo and Gears of War?

I haven't played either of these games so I'm probably gonna start with the latest games, Halo 3 and Gears 2 for the best multiplayer

should I look into Halo 1 & 2 and Gears 1 for the story? and are they long story modes? I don't like short games

Yeah it'll be a little better to buy the first games for both series, but you can do without.

and halo 3 is relatively Short(like 9 missions i think)

GoW 2 is pretty long, and its probably the best multiplayer, and has the best Graphics.

Halo 3 is Pretty God Just Not Better Then GoW.

Halo 3's storyline is pretty easy to pick up, but Gears of War 2's one is harder. I think that the halo 3 story mode is shorter than Gears of War 2's one. The multiplayers for both are really fun.

are you going to play online or just single player because they both have pretty good single players and there pretty decent but they are both different games like in gears you use a lot of cover and halo you can just run around and shoot

no halo 1,2 and gears 1 will cost you about 70$ to buy so a bad waste of money.
they are relatively long story modes also just ask your friends for the story.
halo 3 is better online then gears if your talking about xbox live.

halo one is medium 2 is long gow 1 has a long story gow 2 is a little longer

forget halo it's aload of rubbish. Gears is what you want, i would as all so get gears1. Halo is better online but gears makes up for it in so many ways. Gears2 is very good online.
