Should i play Fable 2 and Halo 3 if i don't have a internet connection?

I just got a xbox 360 and i have the games Fable 2 and Halo 3
on the back of each game it says content download
i dont have internet connection for my 360 yet
but if i start playing the games without internet will i miss out on extra content that i could have downloaded before i played the games?
