ok so my dad was teaching me something(science and stuffs) and i got really frustrated. So he yelled at me violently and i had to back up to another room, then he yelled super loud and went to my xbox 360, got my halo 3 cd(as in MINE) and broke it. I feel really bad 'cause it was the game i got alone with my xbox 360 for my birthday. Should he pay back 40$(that's how much i need to buy another one) or should he buy another one?
by frustrated i mean, really hard and i am dizzy from thinking

he shouldnt do anything to replace it, he was helping you and you started causing problems. try not being a brat and maybe those things wont happen

Think of it this way. you have a room to play your x box because of him. You have a computer to complain about this because of him. You have everything you need because of him. Id say he overreacted but cut him some slack hes providing you with a living.

Well I think you and your father should learn better communication skills. Why not talk to him about this and ask why he did that and see what he says. He may volunteer to purchase a new one, or may say no you do not need a new one at this time. Parents are not always right but usually they have a good reason for doing something and by talking to them when not angry you can get a better insight on why something was done.

It sounds to me like he was trying to teach you something useful but then realized that you are a spoiled brat, so he eliminated at least part of the problem. I don't think you should get another one at all.
