The rating for Halo 3 is it bad?

I just want to know a little about Halo 3. Is it a good game? Why is it rated mature? Would you recommend it for 13+ ages?

If you think they are mature enough. The game has blood and violence, none of which are to an extreme level. It's slightly less violent than a PG-13 movie.

And, yes, it's a great game if you have an Xbox Live account. If not, don't bother.

Actually it depends on some conditions.
If you dont mind buying xbox live gold membership, it's going to be sooooo fun(problem is you have to pay monthly to play online)

If you're not gonna buy xbox gold membership, the game will be boring because all you get to do is campaign where the real fun is online.

and about the rating.... I say that it should be rated T because it rarely shows blood in this game and the cussing happens like only like 1 million(figurative of speech)

Halo 3 is an interesting game but if you get no xbox gold then you can mainly do is campaign and when campaign is finished theres nothing else to do except play 2-4 players split screen which gets boring unless you play with other people.

Ok, honestly, on the one player part of the game, you are shooting aliens. Not a lot of blood. And the lady who is freaking out about the online multiplayer is full of crap. Number one, you have to buy a monthly subscription to xbox live to use it, so if you dont want your child playing online, dont buy the subscription. Second, there IS a family online channel where you will be banned for using foul language or offensive material. Halo 3 will be fine. The content is too unrealistic to be harmful. A 13 year old would love it and not find anything obscene or offensive. And by the way, it is an AWESOME game. :]

Dude, Halo 3's an awesome game on every single level.

The rating was a 9.6 on average; everything about it- the graphics, the gameplay, the mechanics, the music, the multiplayer, the singleplayer, the story, the enemies, the weapons, the sound- were basically perfect.

When you're playing it, it's seriously different than any other fps out there- you more than care about the characters- its like ur actually fighting to save planet earth, and u feel that when you're playing in single player.

It's rated mature for blood, violence, the occasional gore (as in a grenade) and strong language- aka cussing.

The violence isn't that bad. it "says" gore, but the most gore they have is something getting shot and blood spraying. you never actually see organs or limbs come off or anything like that.

Yeah I would give it to someone around age 13. Me and my friends played the 1st one back when I was that age, inbetween chillin, sports and other stuff; it's not bad at all really. You don't ever feel like you want to be violent- it makes you want to do the right thing.

So if your kid is wanting to play it, I'd get them it.

Just don't buy them games like GTA, manhunt, or the guy game, or stuff like that.

It is a good game it can get addicting it shouldn't be rated M because its all just like alien blood not even you dont see like anything its just one of those shooting games. It does get boring after a while but i would recommend it for a 13+ because it is a good game

dont trust these ppl i actually have it....anywho its ok for a child 13 an older to play the one player campaign mode. But if he goes online to play with others he must be cautious because there are some people who use, vile, disgusting, words that might offend people. There if few blood but be aware that it is an addicting game

I personally am not fond of it. It does some things pretty well, but there are lots of other games that do those things better.

I know it's rated Mature for blood, and there's probably some language in there. To be fair, You're likely to see worse on a prime time drama or the 10 o'clock news than you'll see here, or in most mature video games. I don't know that I would recommend it for a 13 year old, but for a reasonably mature teenager it's probably not a problem. If you have any reservations about it, you could probably find videos online to give you an idea of the level of violence.

Oh, and one more thing. The people who play online are almost exclusively horrible people with sailor mouths. So you might not want to let the kid play online unless there's parental supervision.

The only reason its really Mature rated is because online, Bungie (the company that made Halo 3) cannot control what other people say and they sometimes curse.

Thats really the only reason because you can barely notice the blood (unless you are senselessly shooting your human allies during cut scenes, they are invincible while the cut scene is running)
