wat do i need to get the katana Armour in halo 3?

they say 49achievements but im at 800 points now
if i beat solo mission on legendary and heroic ill have 1050
so will i have it then even tho i have less then 48 achievements done?
cani use new achievements?

All you need is 1000 points of the origanal acheivments not the new ones

To get the samurai armour, you need to collect all the gold skulls.
