Well I just got an Xbox 360 for Christmas, along with a halo 3 game... the

disc is unreadable now..? Ok, so while playing the game my cousin jumped off of the couch causing the xbox 360 to fall over, so the disc got large circular scratches on it. I brought the game to game stop to be fixed and they said Oh yes, we can fix it I said Okay, great, will it cost anything? they said Yes, 3 dollars and we will need the receipt. Now the problem is that I got the game for Christmas so i don't have a receipt! Any other ways of fixing this? And no, I can't get the receipt for the person who got it for me, he lives in California and i live in Connecticut, very far away from him.

you could send it to Microsoft they have some sort of repair policies when its less than a month old

or buy a new one and return the old one with the new ones reciet
