What do you think made halo 3 the phenomenon it is today?

(i know i spelled it wrong lol). I have only been playing halo for about 3 months and im hooked, with the cool creative ideas like shields, the storyline, the weapons, the enemys, the... EVERYTHING. But why do you like halo? and if you dont please dont answer just because your mad that your too poor to buy a XBOX 360 or have a PS3.

Sorry but i hate the whole halo scene, i recon i've hit an age where it just doesn't appeal. The amount of times you have to shoot an enemy to kill him has just got annoying, there's so little skill involved. I like the creativeness and map making but other wise i prefer resistance's story line and cod 4 in general. (Before you call me some PS3 fanboy, i own both an elite and 60gb ps3, i own halo 3 too (why i hear you ask as i bought it a bit ago and i won't get more than £5 for trading it in))
