What exactly is Halo Wars?

It is not a Halo 4. It is a real time strategy game for the Xbox 360 and maybe PC. The game takes place before all the Halo games during the first battles with the covenant. You command troops from UNSC cruiser Spirit of Fire.
it will be an okay game. In halo wars you are an Admiral in charge of a fleet ship called the Spirit of fire, in the game you are the humans you can control marines and warthogs and tanks. it is an RTS created by Ensemble studio's. the time line takes place 20 years before the events of the first halo. there are Spartans you can unlock (No master chief though
). you are facing the covenant at there most evil. you can call air strikes or even use the MAC gun on the spirit. any way you have to unlock a lot of things as you go. there is no master Chief but the normal Spartans still kick butt. It is not a first person shooter. Spartans can even high jack vehicles!!!! the game will be different but still cool. On Multiplayer one side is human one side is covenant so umm Multiplayer wont be the same. any way to get more try website on bottom.

No. The game is a real time strategy game that is set 20 years before the events of the first Halo game (Before the whole Covenant ordeal). What is great for this game is that the controls are built just FOR the XBOX 360 so it won't give you trouble like other games that have been ported to the 360 (e.g. Command & Conquer series). You will be able to play as different factions (EVEN the Covenant too!). Although this will be released sometime in 2009, this will be an interesting game to look forward too.
P.S. This is a XBOX 360 exclusive, PC won't be getting it.
