Plot synopsis (CONTAINS SPOILERS):
Master chief has crashed on earth and is busy repelling the covenant (aliens) from earth, with the arbiter's help. He then discovers the aliens are digging for something on earth and he tries to stop them, but fails. fortunately, the thing they dug up wasn't a doomsday weapon, but a big wormhole generator, and they travel to the Ark. a huge artificial planet. the prophet of truth (alien leader) then tries to fire the rings (doomsday weapons that kill all life) remotely from the Ark he is stopped and killed by chief and the flood (zombie alien parasites) but then the flood betray him and he discovers a new version of the halo ring he destroyed, he then rescues cortana from a ship. and uses her to activate the replacement halo, which kills all the remaining covenant and flood. And he is stranded in space for ages and everyone on earth thinks he is dead. THE END.
Gameplay: standard FPS. shoot things, blow stuff up, kill bad guys. good graphics and plot though. also, the multiplayer is very fun.
