What is the deal with halo 3 ODST?

ok i thought it was a full new halo game with new multiplayer and everything but i heard its only an expansion to halo 3 and u just get a little more campain and 3 new maps is this true? also i heard it will be for sale in the market place is this true to?

Its a new story line where you play as an ODST soldier and you walk around a city where everyone has died and you are trying to discover what has happened to them all. So its an open world game and when you find a dead ODST soldier you will replay their last moments and discover more of the story. As far as the multiplayer part,Yes you only get 3 more maps for Halo 3, they are the rest of the mystic maps But you get a new multiplayer mode called Firefight where you are pretty much playing Horde for Gears of War 2 just halo style and If you preorder the game you get to use Sgt. Johnson in the Firefight mode. And I have not heard about buying it at the market place yet.

Its a full new Campaign and its in the view of a ODST soldier, maybe new campaign weapon. But the multiplayer is the same as halo 3 other than its adding a couple new maps. Halo reach is a BRAND new halo multiplayer and all that is based off the first Halo book by Eric Nylund. It will be awesome and its bungees last halo game ever.

not so sure about the marketplace, though several new maps and weapons are to debut, including a return of the pistol from halo 1. be advised, ur not as invincible as the master chief, and u have to plan ur moves out more than ever before..overall, a decent add on, but no dice in my opinion
