What is the Halo 3 Annual Achievement?

Can I only get it once per year? What exactly do I have to do to get it, and is there any special reason to get it over any other achievement? I heard something about Recon with it, but I would find it surprising that Bungie would give Recon to anyone who completed a single achivement...

Any details you could tell me would be awesome, thanks.

nooooooooooooooooooo... they add a bunch of new achievements every year. and yes there is a special reason to get it (and by it i mean them). when odst comes out if you have all the annual achievements you shall get the super nooby recon. remember the lolcat that was all like i can has recon? and the other cat that was like no. well that cat now says yes

There's a lot of Annual achievements. look them up on google.

This achievement is where you complete the final mission with three other players over xbox live in the legendary dificulty. You have to activate the Iron skull. At the end where you have to dodge the falling platforms, everyone has to end with a ghost. This achievement is part of the Vidmaster achievements. If you complete all the vidmaster achievements, you get recon. The problem is one vidmaster achievement requires the unreleased mythic map pack that is coming out in fall 2009 with Halo ODST.
