What's a good strafe combination in Halo 3?

Recently, my strafing has been predictable. Any suggestions on a good concept other than Left,Right,Left,Jump Right? And should I strafe on the second shot?

Do that, but backwards, and a jump at the beggining and end of that combo.

There's Many But This Is What I Do:

Left
Jump
Right
Back Jump
Left
Jump
Right
Front Jump

and so on.... i always add a jump
