whats the ranking system in halo wars?

i looked some up on some websites but they say the same thing but it doesnt make sense because im a lieutenant but according to the ranking system i need 40000 more points to be a lieutenant

When you got a system update for the game the whole ranking sysem totally changed so now it takes less xp to get to higher ranks.
