...squares or...? ...blobs of light. What's up?
When running Halo #1 instead of characters all I see are tiny floating squares or blobs of light where the characters should be. This happens for all characters (friendly or alien). I can see my environment (walls, laser shots) and hear all voices but I cannot see characters. I have altered all options in the game to no avail. I have changed the settings for my graphics card (including changing it to the 'Halo' profile) to no avail. My PC spec is AMD Athlon 1.2 GHz running Windows ME, nVidia GeForce4 MX 440 graphics card and 256 MB RAM. Thanks.

First, be sure to have the last drivers for your graphic card:

Second, be sure to have the last directX installed in your computer:

Third, defrag your hard drive disk, windows have a tool for do this, its under accesories in the start menu, at the system tools menu.

Fourth, try installing and reinstalling the game.

Finally and in a personal note, I used to work as a PC technician, we used to love windows ME, You know why? because the people with windows ME in their PC just keep coming to the PC technician with all kind of problems all the time, its my opinion, its said the Halo should run perfectly with Windows ME, but try to change to another operative system.
