Which is a better 1 player game Halo 3 or Gear of War 2 ?

I am not going to be on online as soon as I get my 360 so I am wondering which is better to play alone

Gears- beacause it has a lot of gore.

but i like Halo 3 better for some reason.

Gears of War 2 definitely. The campaign is really bloody and sad though. It's got a much better story than Halo's, it's a lot more fun, and less predictable, and the enemies are much smarter.
