Which is a better game--Halo Wars or Gears of War 2?

I love Gears of War 2 because of the Unreal engine but can't seem to play the game since it is too gory for me. Beside, I seem to be good at getting killed.

I was a bit disappointed with Halo Wars because it is a campaign game instead a first-shooter. I can't tell which one is the better of the two. Can you enlighten me with your opinion on these two?

GOW2 has the gore-off setting.

halo wars is fun and addictive.
