Why can't I ever find anyone on xbox live when I play Halo 3?

whenever I connect to Xbox live I go to matchmaking and I wait for it to find people, but it can never seem to find anyone. Is it just going slow cause it's been out for a while and no one's really online any more or do I just need to change my lobby. Also, can someone tell me how I search for parties to join instead of creating a party, and how do you play online without joining a party?

The problem is probably your internet connection. If you enter a lobby by yourself and find yourself waiting for people to join, it's because your connection speed is poor. Halo 3 just marked it's 1 billionth match online, so rest assured there are still a ton of people playing online. To play live on your own, simply go to multiplayer and make sure the game lobby is set to matchmaking on xbox live and simply choose your gametype in the other menu.
