Why cant my friend and I play team doubles on Halo 3?
My friend and I used to play team doubles on Halo 3 all the time. Just recently, whenever we try to play, it finds people right away, and says "Player found", but then it says "restarting search". We thought maybe it was our NAT's, but we checked, and both of ours are open. We can play any other game type with each other in the same party. We can also both play doubles with any other person. I guess the problem is we cant connect to each other. But we both tried playing campaign online together (just us two) and it worked. So i don't know what the problem is. Someone please help? ):
It's been like 3 weeks now.
Ok Chaz is dumb. And no the rank thing...doesn't do that. I see people all the time that are a team fo like a General and a Private because people do the "quit game" thing. We are very close in rank anyway. So that's not it

As you know each play list has its own rating system now. How far apart are yours? What's the difference between your highest skill level (1-50)? To my knowledge all those factors contribute to the search parameters that Bungie uses to sort games and players. This stops matches from being incredibly one sided. So if you have a rank of Major in team doubles and a skill level of 40, and your friend is a First Lieutenant and a skill of 25, then the search will have to find other people who have a similar rating/skill range. This can be particularly frustrating if it isn't the most played playlist.

I really can't say how to change the parameters of the searches without getting a new xbox live account all together. Sorry.
