Why do people walk into walls on Halo 3?

I am probably a moron and a n00b for asking this, but why do I always see people walking into walls in Halo 3? Is this a hack or a glitch? If so, I want in!

they might be experiencing lag, are nubcakes, or can be possibly high lol? Sometimes i walk into walls a bit so i can peer off around a corner or to get a nice viewing angle where im not vulnerable to getting shot.
